Ahoy
It's been a while, hasn't it? Two years, to be exact. It's funny, you'd think in the land of eternal winter and endless sun, time would stand still, but it has a funny way of flying by. For a while there, life got in the way and consistent blogging became an uphill battle, but I've always missed sharing stories about arctic life, the beauty of the birds and flowers up here, and the general weirdness of living on an island in the middle of nowhere.
Returning with new tools
The good news is, I'm back, and I'm coming back with something new to share. A bit of a creative twist that I hope will get you all as excited as I am. I’ve discovered the world of AI music, and it's been an absolute blast. It's a completely different kind of creative process, and it was the push I needed to start writing again.
I’ve spent the past couple of months diving into the world of music production, but not in the way you might think. Instead of picking up a guitar or a drum kit, I've been learning to use different AI music tools to create my own songs. The whole process is incredible, you give the AI a prompt, and it generates an entire piece of music.
Here is one of my latest creations. It's a song about embracing that evil we all have inside of us.

I’ve been thinking about how to combine my old and new hobbies. What if I made an AI-generated song based on the haunting call of a raven I recorded out on the tundra? Or a piece of music inspired by the colors of the polar sky at midnight? The possibilities are endless, and honestly, it’s been a great emotional outlet, too. When I get in front of the computer and start making something, it can be a feeling of pure cathartic release.
The Rise of AI on Hive
Living up here in the arctic, it's easy to feel a bit isolated from the rest of the world. But the Hive community is a constant reminder that we’re all connected, and a lot has changed since I was last active. I've been seeing more and more posts using AI tools, and I know PeakD itself has some of its own. I've even seen built-in image generators and auto-summarization bots.
This has me curious. What are your feelings on these tools? Do you see them as a way to enhance creativity or a threat to traditional art? I’d love to know what the community thinks. The conversation around this is only just beginning, and I think Hive is the perfect place to talk about it.
What’s Next
I'm excited to start sharing again. I’ve got plenty of new arctic adventures to tell you about, and I can’t wait to show you how I'm blending them with my new passion for AI music.
I’d love for you to join me on this new journey. Let me know what you think of my music and the future of AI tools in the comments below.
Images are either created by my own hand or generated with ai tools by myself.
heyyy welcome back 👋 i think it's totally cool to use AI for whatever as long as you don't try to pretend it's something else, have definitely come across this in the arts community a few times :)
That's my thoughts too. I think the people who misrepresent themselves as artists or musicians when they only know how to use AI are giving the tools themselves a bad reputation. And since they are tools, I think people against AI will soon learn that they can incorporate these tools into their artwork to enhance it! It will grow their creativity instead of stifling it.
Eyy welcome the fuck back my dude!
Welcome back! Missed hearing about your island life and those unique arctic birds! 🐦❄️
