An important legal challenge was launched in British Columbia on August 16, 2021. Even though my home province is in the same confederation as British Columbia, news of this challenge only became known to me during my latest covid internet deep dive over four month later.
The lawyer mounting the challenge gained much renown in activist circles by taking the federal government to account over their disuse of The Bank of Canada Act; which was more of an economic swindling as opposed to the authoritarian one used with covid. It seemed that sacrificing our central bank may have been the price of a seat on the central bank-less G7.
The lawyer is none other than Rocco Galati.
Justice flows like a slow moving river yet it was inspiring to know this fight will be fought to the Supreme Court, if need be, where Mr. Galati has taken previous challenges. In the clip there is a Q&A. It was fascinating for me to be explained the laws and stratigies employed by the federal government to make legal challenges as difficult as possible in lieu of a back bencher's 2017 proposal (and since made federal law) that may have government officials liable to fines and five year prison terms.

This seems required viewing for any citizen of the confederation. They can then decide the amount of personal support they wish to give to the cause. That could be anything from event participation to financial support. It's a struggle for everyone's liberty, not just a special interest group.
