Getting it Done

Sunday, July 12th, 2020; Warm weather starting this summer.

The current time in Los Angeles 9:01 PM, Houston 11:02 PM, Miami 12:02 AM, and Beijing 12:02 PM.

Here are the latest numbers from Worldometer:

13,036,587 people have been infected around the globe with Covid-19.

571,574 have died from the disease. 7,582,426 have recovered. 7% death rate.

The rest are open cases awaiting an outcome.

Going to start with the numbers, about 1.5 million new cases since last week worldwide. Yet only about 35,000 new deaths. A drop in the death rate percentage as well.

Any doctor would say the rise in cases concerns them. This has to do with hospital capacity. The more patients, the less likely the medical staff can handle the situation. More people die from a preventable death.

Hard reality.

Medical bills, rent, power bill, no income, and waiting on an unemployment check. Scared to find a job; fear of falling ill and spreading it to a family member with chronic health problems. These are real concerns in this first world country suddenly, and out of the blue.

When I started on Steemit that’s what attracted me to cryptoblogging, the idea of a Universal income, using my money to make money participating in social media. Something we’ve all become accustomed to in our daily lives. This platform promising the hope that one day in an event like this we could stay at home and write a blog for a living.

Thank God. And I’m happy to say that government restrictions on cryptocurrency have kept that from happening. Then again, some crypto genius always finds a way to clean out the bank and lose the password to our future fortune. Personally in the hole from my investment. Still writing in the belief of the conviction. Glad to help an organization like @project.hope with a 1,000 SP delegation.

One Steem still means something somewhere. Universal income for those who need it most. So maybe it will save my life one day. No need to be melodramatic. More of a sideline.

You know where we stand, we stand with the Lords of Hemp, and the new green sustainable economy for generations of humans as we begin to colonize the solar system. It’s funny because that’s the joke.

It’s never been needed more than now. We’ll see what happens. This whole thing could still blow over right? Just some freak virus that came and went. Ha, ha…

Instead the feel of dread as a Christmas without bread. One last look at the light of glory. Upon who’s memory we stake the claim of our hearts and minds. For this future that clouds over us like a blackened robe thick with dust chokes our throats with an involuntary cough. Liberty and the pursuit of happiness, the search of where be thee, in the lie of 3/4‘s a man. God save thee.

This blog continues through it all. Even as it looks as if the worst might come to pass. Even then I’ll continue until this situation resolves itself.
