The current time in Auckland 10:19 PM, Hong Kong 5:20 PM, Rome 11:22 AM, and Rio de Janeiro 6:22 AM.
Here are the latest numbers from Worldometer:
33,084,572 people have been infected around the globe with Covid-19.
999,088 have died from the disease. 24,442,491 have recovered. 4% death rate.
The rest are open cases awaiting an outcome.
So many people lost their job because of the Pandemic, then their house burned down because of wildfires, and now they’re homeless with the first day of autumn this last week. Tough.
FEMA and the Red Cross have been a major support. There’s an amazing group of organizations that land in a place like this after a disaster, thank you all. You’ll see them if devastation destroys your neighborhood.
Pandemic and wildfires; wildfires and the pandemic. Only the wildfires are going to clear up as the weather changes. It could stay hot in Southern California though.
Then back to the Pandemic. Imagine being thrust out on foot to start from scratch in this economy. Not just you, thousands of people that lived near you, and work in a similar profession.
Would be better to move somewhere else for a job, only they offer some free shelter here, and you might have lost a car as well.
There you are exposed to the virus you’ve been avoiding while having to deal with things you never thought of a week ago.
Local officials have their hands full; praying for them and everyone else out in this weather. Glad it rained though for the fire fighters.
Going to try writing some literature type short stories soon, got to get it together for a contest. Not on Steemit though. Maybe see @bananafish on Hive. Really miss working with that group of writers. There are still places to write, only unable to commit to more than one post a week at this time.
For now trying to build up SP.
