Dear diary, today I learned potheads use grinders for their bud.
Grinding is essential if you want it to burn evenly and get the full flavor out of the buds.
I don't remember my friend who used to be really into pot doing that. But I don't think I ever saw them as perfectly clumped like this either. Likely a whole different league.
It must have been super dry...that can crumble like grinder quality with just your fingers.
Also, there's a lot of kief / crystals that get on your finger tips and it goes to waste if you break it up with your hands.
Most grinders have a kief filter, letting the finest kief fall to the bottom that makes for quite a treat when enough accumulates. Add a little bit of moisture and pressure and you can turn it into home made hash.
Most potheads don't care much for this kind of stuff.
It's the true connoisseurs that enjoy the best that pot has to offer.
