Raphael Mechoulam, el científico de los cannabinoides

Hace un par de meses falleció el gran científico Raphael Mechoulam, al que se le considera como el padre de la investigación del cannabis.

Su vida la dedicó a la investigación de nuestra querida planta Cannabis sativa, sintetizó totalmente la molécula tetrahidrocannabinol (THC), el cannabinoide activo de la marihuana y más tarde investigó sobre muchos otros. Fue un adelantado a su tiempo y trabajó de forma incansable sabiendo el potencial terapéutico de la planta.
