Today the ignition switch went in my firebird. The car dash just turned black and went dead if I didn't hold the key half way turned while driving. Being that I have a manual car, I couldn't do that so my wife helped me out and had to hold it the whole way to see the mechanic and back. Will have to drive it to the shop again once the part is in. Too bad I wasn't a mechanic.

Update: The guy I bought the car from replaced the switch for basically free a week afterward. I just had to pay for the part. Car is back on the road.
I took it for a sweet drive through the Canadian Rockies recently. It was cool looking at the mountain tops through the glass roof T-Tops!
