Gen-AI: Here to stay, but for good?

in #careergrowth2 months ago (edited)

For many weeks, Gen-AI has been an integral part of my day-to-day work. There are some topics that AI can handle by itself - for example, the editorial review for a training material that I finished these days, or the coding of a demo MVP app for a project that I've just started. Nevertheless, I decided to stay in the loop for all creative parts of my work.

Unfortunately, many are misusing AI, and will have to pay the price for labeling "intelligent" a statistical model. Yes, I expect a huge price for the errors made in their name. Then, I believe the educational systems are at high risk. I've seen data showing a huge drop in the global usage of ChatGPT overlapped by the school end date. Scarry!

What is 100% true: people with AI will take the jobs of the ones not using AI, some types of jobs will become redundant, if not already done, and if properly used, we will see a huge boost in productivity.

The question is how society will use this new gain in productivity...
