A road trip, Blackpool illuminations, and pizza? What a day!

Join us for Part 2 of our road trip in the BYD Atto 3...

Embarking on an electric journey across the heart of England, from the bustling streets of Manchester, through the tranquil coastal town of Lytham St. Annes, to the iconic seaside resort of Blackpool, we had the pleasure of experiencing the future of road-tripping aboard the BYD Atto 3.
This wasn't just a road trip; it was a voyage into the realm of sustainable travel, wrapped in the comfort and innovation of one of the most intriguing electric vehicles (EVs) on the market today.

Our journey commenced in the shadows of the famed Old Trafford, a beacon of Manchester's vibrant culture and spirited community. The BYD Atto 3, with its sleek design and spirited performance, felt right at home amidst the city's architectural marvels and historic streets. Manoeuvring through Manchester, the Atto 3's responsiveness and agility were on full display, its electric heart beating in sync with the city's dynamic pulse.

Navigating through urban landscapes can often be a challenge, yet the Atto 3's compact dimensions allowed us to explore with ease, sliding into parking spots and zipping through traffic with the grace of a much smaller vehicle. The quiet hum of its electric motor became a soothing soundtrack to our urban adventure, a gentle reminder of the shift towards a quieter, more serene city life made possible by electric mobility.

Leaving the city behind, we ventured towards Lytham St. Annes, where the landscape transitions from urban expanse to coastal serenity. Here, the Atto 3's journey took on a new dimension, its electric soul harmonizing with the natural beauty of the seafront. The drive was smooth, the silence of the electric motor allowing the sounds of the coastal wind and waves to take center stage, creating a symphony of natural tranquillity and technological innovation.
Lytham St. Annes, with its historic windmill and Victorian pier, offered a picturesque backdrop against which the Atto 3 stood out as a symbol of modernity. Its ability to blend into the serene settings, all while offering a glimpse into the future of travel, was a testament to the EV's versatile appeal.

Our final destination, Blackpool, greeted us with its famous illuminations, a spectacle of light that rivals the stars in the sky. Here, the BYD Atto 3 was not just a vehicle; it was part of the show, its LED headlights and
sleek design contributing to the vibrant tableau of lights and colours.

Driving along the promenade, the Atto 3's electric propulsion system offered a seamless experience, its smooth acceleration and deceleration mirroring the ebb and flow of the sea beside us. The absence of emissions meant that our journey through this beloved seaside resort was as clean as the coastal air, leaving no trace but memories in our wake.

This road trip with the BYD Atto 3 was more than just a journey through England's diverse landscapes; it was a journey into the possibilities that electric mobility offers. From the bustling streets of Manchester to the tranquil shores of Lytham St. Annes, and the illuminated spectacle of Blackpool, the Atto 3 proved itself to be a capable companion, one that promises a future where travel does not compromise the beauty of our destinations.

The BYD Atto 3, with its blend of style, performance, and sustainability, stands at the forefront of this new era of travel. It challenges us to reimagine our journeys, to embrace the quiet, clean, and profoundly enjoyable experience of traveling electric. And as we look ahead to the roads and destinations yet to be discovered, it's clear that the future of road tripping is electric, and it's a future full of promise and excitement.

Thank you all, and enjoy!

Awesome! that's a very good car! EVs are the best!

That's a very poetic post. I don't like really big cars. A smaller one is easier to get around town and park.

We went to Blackpool Pleasure Beach a couple of years back. We drove along the front, but the lights were not on.

You were taking it down to pretty low battery. My son will be doing some longer trips in the MG4, so he needs to plan where he will charge. There seem to be a lot more options for that now.

Glad you enjoyed it, @steevc! We had a fab time, and the lights were great (as always, lol)

Good point about the low charge - as we have a Type 2 fitted at the house, we know we can safely let it get that low.

Where is your son headed? I always use Zap Map App to plan a long haul.

He's been up to the Peak District. He seemed to cope okay.

That's good to hear. It's lovely up there too!
