Tesla says it delivered 1.8 million cars in 2023 and the Q4 with 484507 cars sold was a record for Tesla, but according to BYD data, the company sold 526409 EVs in Q4. To maintain its leading position, Tesla pursued a fairly aggressive pricing policy, especially in the Chinese market. BYD, however, is in a much better position as it is one of the world's leaders in the production of car batteries. It can be expected that next year the palm of the first place will belong to BYD. The company is just beginning to enter Western markets. However, it should be remembered that Chinese brands are taking advantage of the war situation between Russia and Ukraine. As a result of Western sanctions on Russia, Western car brands have pulled out of Russia. In their place, it will immediately sniff out Chinese car companies. I don't really like this behavior.
