Cat Ears and Cleaning III

in #cats5 years ago

When inspecting the ear of a cat it is imperative that the accumulation of dirty and body made ear wax is maintained. If left without cleaning and monitoring, infection can be prone to infiltrate the body.

Caring for the outer most part of the ear is a simple process that involves applying a gentle wipe of cotton wool in the outer region. While cats will often do a sufficient job in cleaning their own ears most of the time, there can be build up that needs some assistance to deal with. Some cats may not attend much to their ears and it is entirely dependent on the habits of a cat. All cleaning should be undertaken with care and it is best to approach a cat when they are in a state of relaxation.
