God created man for fellowship. Aside from the need of sending them out, Jesus chose His disciples so that they could be with him.

A time of deep personal fellowship with the Lord is the most rewarding time in the life of every believer.

MEANING OF BEING ALONE WITH THE LORD
A time of being alone with the Lord is a time we spend in his presence, fellowshipping with him and obtaining definite answers, words, assurances and guidance from him.

It could be a time of personal revival in His presence. It could be a time you spend to intercede for others in God's presence. It could be a time the Lord draws you aside

from the maddening crowd to fellowship and speak with you. It may not necessarily be a time of your personal "quite time". However, it is not a time of corporate prayer or when you pray with your prayer partner.

The truth is that such a worthy time you spend alone with the Lord is not a wasted period at all. On the contrary, It has eternal value both in this life and in that to come.

WHEN AND WHAT?
The time of being alone with the Lord may be in the day or in the night. Location could be anywhere that there is no disturbance or distraction.
