Hello steemians and welcome to today's #celestialchallenge by the most able and capable Knight of the blockchain and and grand founder of the #steemchurch @Sirknight.
However, today's celestial challenge is tagged "Agriculture" but I am going to concentrate on a particular aspect which I really find fascinating and that's the area of "The Usefulness Of Drones In Agriculture".
The Usefulness Of Drones In Agriculture
Prior to now, drones have been in existence for different reasons ranging from it's recreational use to remote sensing to oil, gas and mineral exploration, real estate and construction as well as commercial and motion picture film making, disaster relieve and commercial aerial surveillance and so many other beautiful reasons. In fact, I will soon get my own to shoot youtube videos as opening a youtube channel is in my books this year.

Nonetheless, today, we will concentrate on its usefulness in the agricultural sector. Drones have been on existence as far back as the 1980's , although it was met with very little uses but has now been increasingly and demandably used for other wide varieties of purposes especially in agriculture.

Drones are very useful from the beginning of the crop cycle to end of the crop cycle as they can be used for soil and field analysis. They provide accurate analysis on the soil especially the nitrogen level of the soil and the moisture content. The results the drones provide are used for adequately and creatively planning how to plant seed together with suitable patterns that will yield more productivity.

Secondly, another use of drones in agriculture is the fact that drones can help keep an eye on crops growth. Moreover, One of the major problem in agriculture for ages is that crops are not being monitored properly and therefore can lead to high loss. Likewise, the cost of monitoring crops is quite expensive but you can help save about 80% of that cost if you employ the use of drones.

Thirdly, the use of drones are effected when it also comes to planting seeds. Of course, it also saves cost of doing it manually you will agree with me plus some other advantages of doing it manually.

Fourthly, there a re special drones that can hover around a large field to determine which part of the field lacks water nutrient or is dry. Therefore, it can be used for irrigational purposes in that sense. Also it can further tell you when or which part of the field lacks nutrients.

Fifthly, there are so many issues of pests and diseases when it comes to agriculture , but however, the drones can be used to check the health of the plants through the help of it's visible and near infrared light. Once it is able to provide this information then farmers can now move to that particular area to provide remedies for the plants and in that case money will be saved and losses will be reduced to the bearest minimum.
