G'day kings and queens of steemit I would like to throw in my hat to make my first entry into the #celestialchallenge. The good @sirknight has come up with a quite clever new challenge here https://steemit.com/celestialchallenge/@sirknight/sirknight-s-daily-celestial-challenge-new-for-all-steemians that will problibly help all of us who suffer from not knowing what to blog about syndrome. The idea is to blog about the day names in latin which was named after greek and roman gods.
Today is Tuesday Aka Marsday some of the atrabutes associated with Mars is Ares the God of War and the AnimalKingdom rivalry in nature and life - survival of the fittest.
How about this strange struggle for survival in the animal kingdom ? The Zombie Ant of Brazil. Imagine if you will being a carpenter ant munching on your favorite greens doing your part for the community and then your life gets flipped upside down. You begin having strange urges to leave your nest with out saying goodbye or what ever ants do, to go to the forest floor.
Unknown to the ant it has been infected by a seriously agro fungus called O. unilateralis (pronounced yu-ni-lat-er-al-iss) the fungus leaves the brain intact but compleatly takes over and remote controls the ant as if it were a toy. Once the ant has reached the floor of the forest it latches on to a leave and that is the ants last movement.slowly the fungus compleatly takes over and the ant becomes the fungus reborn and lies in wait to infect and continue the propagation of it's species. Poor little Ant's.

So yeah Mars aka Aries is a jerk and war sucks but is a necessary part of life. Aries the god of war was a son of Zeus and was a lover of Aphrodite who was married at the time to Hephaestus, god of craftsmanship.(ref. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ares) In Greek mythology he had a never ending thirst for blood and violence. Someone that just wasn't happy unless they were in a fight. I bet it was a real drag when this guy showed up at parties.
