There is another issue most have already noticed:

that one cannot search for a blog poster on Steemit without enlisting the Ggle search engine!**

On the one hand, it is a nice way to let G**gle + friends know about the volume of content being searched on Steemit.

On the other, it lets G+friends sell all that user data to Oracle etc (who then sells to Experian, etc.)

So the censorship is going on under the hood also! It is going to get far far far far far worse when the net neutrality is gone in USA (except Washington State perhaps?)

Maybe it also keeps Steemit w one foot in Satan's mouth to avoid attacks like that received by Gab.

It is something worth looking into in greater detail!

Yeah I still don't understand why we have to use Google to search steemit. It's not even convenient, you can either search relevance OR by age. Both is really kind of necessary for this platform. Just the easiest solution for developers?
