The #meme world is strange as some meme artists want the image to convey the story. It is hard to tell the intent of the user. If the meme is the focus, the user may not want to distract from the art with writing.
Of course, HIVE is a text based platform. The writing is the key part of a post. If an artist creates a good image, they should have some text about the creation of the image; otherwise people would think it was plagiarized.
Since I use an image generator, i usually create the meme after I write a post. Happy curation.
