CertiK
They trying to protect smart
contracts and blockchain
ecosystems in a way that really hasn't
been done at this level. so right now
there's over a million smart
contracts running the ethereum alone,
Ethereum virtual machine has a lot of issues,
Smart contracts are immutable once deployed,
so you can’t change them.
The DAO had 1 Bug, which lost 50 million dollars!
It was fixed by a hard fork.
There huge attack benefits to smart contracts right now
In 2017 630 million dollars were stolen by hackers.
CertiK wants to fix this problem.
Certik is going to be protecting these smart contracts
so that many of these businesses can be assured
that their smart contract is protected.
These guys are the real deal they in my
opinion in terms of code in terms of
being a world’s first decentralize proof engine.
Hence the name CertiK, they're literally trying to
certify and using a verification system.
they want to certify the smart contracts
so that the client can get some sort of
assurance via the the blockchain
there's lots of cool
stuff they're doing but they're doing it
in a way that's really efficient unlike
Bitcoin, for example, in bitcoin
the hashing costs of that it quite an expensive
And the excursive is really inefficient.
this Technology solves that innefiecncy problem
And capitalizzies on that
additional computational power,
Certik uses a mathematical proof
To reduce these computations down
To smaller chunks. and by
doing that it makes it all possible to
essentially do something new and that is
really provide for this measure
for new clients to ensure that their
smart contracts are safe and trustable
in a trustless environment.
The cool thing is that,
It’s proprietary Tech so they
own the tech and that's super important
because whilst all of us are advocates
for permissionless and permission
designs this one means that they have a
stake in the game with real tech they
own.
I would encourage others to do is really look at
some of the partnerships that these
companies are aligned with so for
example the NGC the neo global capital
firm they are heavily aligned with CertiK
and that just consolidates more
the veracity or an applicability of this
project because I has real world
context and is supported by a large
entity so yeah there's value points in
knowing those connections early.
Neo global capital made a huge investment into moonlight
they just recently recruited Ethan fast on
the team as well
really yeah so you have Allen Tyler and
Ethan now all working on it and they and
they formed a partnership with Thor and
then on top of that you have Dean with
VDT network being one of their first customers
as well as NoS. The Neo Ecosystem is growing
