[Cervantes Magazine – Number 20]

Welcome to the Cervantes community and volume 20 of the magazine! We will always be happy to receive someone new, but wait, we need you to know how to walk before running and that is why we have made this little advice guide for you, let's go there!

We will teach you the elements to perform in a publication and the meaning of each of them, so that we don’t make a mess of understanding how to interact in Steemit.

Do you see the first option below to the left of the Post? It is the "vote" button, with which you can leave your vote in a publication that you liked or that is worthy of it.

To the right of the vote button you will see the number of people who have voted that publication and thus maintain the notion of how many people participate in your publication.

More to the right you will find the "comments" box (in the form of dialogue), by clicking this you can directly participate in the publication, always remember to make quality comments which provide even more value to the post with which you interact.

Finally in the horizontal layout of the post is the Resteem button, if you liked a publication very much, this will allow you to host it in your profile so that users see the content of others that you like to share.

Finally in the upper right we will see the flag icon, if we find publications that abuse other content, whether plagiarism or hate, we can resort to this tool.

Now, we already know how a publication works and our instinct tells us that it is time to create our own, we will go to the upper right corner of our Steemit page and click on the option to publish. Let’s do it!

Base tips to create a publication:

Spelling and writing: a factor that should be omnipresent in the publication, let's make our content a small organized, clean, understandable and readable trip, because it will reflect our ability to handle writing when creating.

Sources: we do not rule out the option that the creator of a publication supports them with resources from the web (photos, citations, text, analysis texts, etc ...) but it is necessary to know where these resources come from or we could get into problems, we will make our lives easier with the Markdown and its command to quote sources.

Warmth: of course, don’t dismiss the human factor in your publications and make the reader feel comfortable, a warm welcome with good encouragement that invites the person to read you can be the hook to be noticed, also a warm goodbye to thank to the reader for having been part of your content, warmth is a characteristic of the Cervantes community and all its team.

Interaction: once your post is published, comments will begin to arrive, with congratulations and / or criticism, actively participate in the exchange of ideas since through these your content will be able to improve even more. Become a community!
