Buenos días amigos, les muestro un llavero de caballo, que realice con cacho de toro, una figura de cabeza de caballo la cual fui tallando y dando forma y lo uso como mi llavero, mi nombre es Carlos Aranda, soy artista plástico de Venezuela.
Good morning friends, I show you a horse keychain, which I made with bull horn, a horse head figure which I was carving and shaping and I use it as my key ring, my name is Carlos Aranda, I am a plastic artist from Venezuela.
Por la parte frontal tiene mezcla de colores blancos, grises y negro de forma natural del material, y por detrás es negro, es la parte interna del cacho del toro.
On the front it has a mixture of white, gray and black colors naturally of the material, and behind it is black, it is the inner part of the bull's horn.
El llavero de caballo, la fue tallando poco a poco del material de cacho de toro, recorte un pequeño trozo del cacho y luego fui lijando y tallando la forma con gubias, es un material muy duro, pero me gusta mucho el acabado final y su resistencia a largo plazo.
The horse keychain, was slowly carving the bull horn material, cut a small piece of the horn and then I was sanding and carving the shape with gouges, it is a very hard material, but I really like the final finish and its long term resistance.
Las herramientas que más use fue las gubias de tallar, con las que hacia los surcos, y la lima, luego al tener la forma hecha la empecé a lijar para eliminar superficie rugosa y que estuviese pulida.
The tools I used the most were the carving gouges, with which I made the grooves, and the file, then having the shape done I started sanding to remove rough surface and it was polished.
Luego fui fui puliendo la figura con papel de lijar más delgado para que que resaltará la belleza del material del cacho.
Then I was polishing the figure with thinner sandpaper so that it will highlight the beauty of the material of the chub.
