A medida que el gobierno nacional eche una mirada hacia el oriente del país y centre su visión en el Estado Sucre. En esa misma medida debe percatarse de la gran potencia de este estado en el área de la pesca y el turismo, come ejes fundamentales para un gran polo del desarrollo económico-social del estado que vio nacer y crecer al Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho Antonio José de Sucre y hombres de las letras poéticas como Andrés Eloy Blanco. José Antonio Ramos Sucre y Cruz María Salmerón acosta.. Hablar del Estado Sucre. Además de las figuras antes indicadas de la historia y la poesía. También es hacer referencia a las grandes figuras deportivas, como Francisco (Morochito) Rodríguez, primera medalla de oro olímpica para la patria de Bolívar y Sucre, e igualmente de los campeones mundiales Alfredo Marcano, Antonio Gómez y Antonio Esparragoza, por nombrar algunos. El Estado Sucre, con innumerables posibilidades de desarrollos turísticos, por sus atractivos naturales en ríos, montañas y playas, tiene la particularidad en Venezuela de ser el único estado en contar con dos penínsulas, la de Paria y la de Araya, ambas con grandes extensiones de playas, aptas para el desarrollo pesquero y turístico, y dos golfos, el de Cariaco y el de Santa Fe, de ahí la necesidad impostergable de que el gobierno nacional otorgue los recursos para desarrollar la pesca y el turismo, sin dejar de mirar hacia el campo, donde contamos con grandes extensiones de tierra aptas para el sembradío de todos los rubros del campo, acompañado de la cría de ganado vacuno y bovino. El Estado Sucre, enclavado en la parte nororiental del país, en consecuencia al norte de América del Sur, mar abierto hacia el Atlántico y el Caribe, tiene todo a su favor para explotar la pesca artesanal y la pesca de altura, que incluye pesca de arrastre y atunera. de ahí los grandes polos de desarrollo del turismo y la pesca para esta parte de nuestra patria Venezuela, en consecuencia, el gobierno nacional y el que venga luego deben apoyar con grandes inversiones hacia el turismo y la pesca al Estado Sucre, que como todos sabemos cuenta con una población superior al millón de habitantes y una superficie de 11.800 Km2, siendo su capital Cumaná(Sucre) y con capitales de municipios muy importantes como Carûpano(Bermúdez), Guaria(Valdez), Cumanacoa(Montes), Cariaco(Ribero), Araya(Cruz Salmerón Acosta y así el resto de los 15 municipios, todos muy importantes para cada región, cada uno de ellos involucrados en el tema del turismo y la pesca, por el arraigo en estas áreas que tienen sus pobladores.
