Homemade cheese

For my taste the quesillo is one of the richest desserts that we can make with few ingredients that we usually have at home ... Here are the ingredients and the steps to follow to enjoy this delicious Venezuelan dessert

Ingredients:

  • 250gs whole milk powder
  • 250 Ml of water
  • 250gs of sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • A teaspoon of vanilla
  • Approximately 10gs of cornstarch
  • Cinnamon powder to taste

These are the measures for a small quesillo, for variation of the size all the ingredients must go with the same proportion and if you want it bigger you place double the ingredients.

Elaboration:

Place in a container the 250ml of water, sugar, milk and other ingredients, you can mix the ingredients in the blender or with a whisk, as it is your preference, to have the mixture ready, we proceed to make the candy.

Caramel processing:

In the cheese cellar place about 100g of sugar, put on a low heat until it turns amber. After the caramel is ready, the mixture is added, the lid is placed, I usually place aluminum foil between the container and the lid to prevent water from entering, cooking in a bain-marie or, if you prefer, in the oven, about one hour. Once it is ready, let it rest and proceed to unpack in a tray or a dish.

Then I leave a picture of my quesillo made yesterday, which was spectacular in taste and appearance, with a beautiful bright amber caramel ..

I hope everyone likes this delicious recipe and they can do it for the enjoyment of their family!
