Plastic Beach

"I hadn't noticed how peaceful Plastic Beach is. The first time I heard Gorillaz was thanks to you, that's why I write to you and I thank you”. That message came to me a few days ago, and thanks to that I was inspired to listen to the album again and write this today, to tell you how great Plastic Beach is and how it manages to put orchestras, different types of harmonies and instruments together with lyrics that speak of love and nostalgia, of life and with analogies worthy of a master mind. If you know me you know that I love Gorillaz and I could talk about the band and its history, which is too interesting since being a virtual band, its history is as magnificent and witty as any series for teenagers, but the truth is that now I want talk about the album and how it made me feel.

“No había notado lo pacifico que es Plastic Beach. La primera vez que escuché Gorillaz fue gracias a ti, por eso te escribo y te doy las gracias”. Ese mensaje me llegó hace unos días, y gracias a eso me inspiré para volver a escuchar el álbum y escribir esto hoy, para decirles lo grandioso que es Plastic Beach y como logra meter orquestas, diferentes tipos de armonías e instrumentos junto a letras que hablan del amor y la nostalgia, de la vida y con analogías dignas de una mente maestra. Si me conocen saben que me encanta Gorillaz y podría hablar de la banda y su historia, la cual es demasiado interesante ya que siendo una banda virtual, su historia es tan magnifica y ocurrente como cualquier serie para adolescentes, pero la verdad es que ahora quiero hablar del álbum y como me hizo sentir.

I wasn't a huge Gorillaz fan when I first heard Plastic Beach, and I wasn't a huge fan of music, really. I heard music, but I didn't have the time to listen to it. Now it is different, but at that time I thought about how strange was the new style that Gorillaz had acquired, since I knew only his best-known songs ..., when I listened to his other albums I realized how versatile the band is, and how It can show us different facets, which I applaud standing up, since it is difficult to find this in a band as commercial as Gorillaz

No era muy fan de Gorillaz cuando escuche Plastic Beach por primera vez, y la verdad es que no era muy fan de la música. Oía música, pero no me daba el tiempo de escucharla. Ahora es diferente, pero en ese tiempo pensé en lo extraño que era el nuevo estilo que había adquirido Gorillaz, ya que conocía solo sus canciones más conocidas…, cuando escuché sus otros álbumes me di cuenta de lo versátil que es la banda, y como puede mostrarnos diferentes facetas, cosa que aplaudo de pie, ya que es difícil encontrar esto en una banda tan comercial como Gorillaz.

Plastic Beach has made me cry, and it is that even without knowing English and the rhythms of the songs they give you an advance to the melancholy, but when reading the lyrics you will begin to realize how planned the album is, being one of the best from the band. A journey of 16 songs that is always good to keep in mind to relax or let your feelings flow, whether they are good or bad.

Plastic Beach me ha hecho llorar, y es que aun sin saber inglés ya los ritmos de las canciones te dan un adelanto a la melancolía, pero al leer las letras empezarás a darte cuenta de lo planificado que está el álbum, siendo uno de los mejores de la banda. Un viaje de 16 canciones que siempre es bueno tener en cuenta para relajarte o dejar fluir tus sentimientos, ya sean buenos o malos.
