Maturín la hermosa capital de mi estado, fue catalogada por muchos años como la ciudad distinta y debo confesar que cuando llegue aquí a mis 14 años, me preguntaba cual era la razón de esa nominación. Era una ciudad hermosa, limpia, ordenada, con mucha seguridad, nunca olvidaré la razón por la cual sentí amor a primera vista.

Uno de sus platillos típicos es la famosa Cachapa, hecha de puro maíz tierno, sal y azúcar, los amigos de mi esposo las bautizaron como las ruedas de camión jejejeje, casi literal.
