Hi there, welcome to my new series, SYCCO: Some Youtube Channels you should Check Out.
Today we're going to focus on learning in-depth about how cryptocurrencies work. First of all, cryptoccurencies have many aspects, and you can look at them from different angles. In this article I'll present you three channels: one from a mathematician, one from a programmer, and one from an entrepreneur. I picked those 3 Youtubers in particular because their explanations are clear and very well made.
1.The mathematical point of view
As most of you may know, cryptology is the foundation of steem, bitcoin, and all the other crypto-coins. That particular kind of cryptography is heavily linked to mathematics, to the point where one could say it IS maths. So who better to explain how it works than someone who has been making educational videos about maths for about 2 years?
3Blue1Brown just released this excellent video entitled:
Ever wonder how Bitcoin (and other cryptocurrencies) actually work?
I recommend you check out this channel if you're curious about other mathematical problems. This will probably be his only video on cryptocurrency.
Here is the description of his channel: "3Blue1Brown is some combination of math and entertainment, depending on your disposition. The goal is for explanations to be driven by animations and for difficult problems to be made simple with changes in perspective."
2. The programmers point of view
Ok, I'll put it this way: "Ivan on tech" is THE BEST youtube channel dedicated to cryptocurrencies. Every video is well thought out and extremely clear, even though Ivan goes into pretty technical stuff, you never get lost. Literally every video on this channel deserves to be viewed, but hey I can't put them all in this article, so here is one I really appreciated:
Ethereum Turing Complete, Bitcoin is not | Programmer explains
Go check out his channel! And his steemit account: @ivanli
3. The entrepreneurs point of view
Let's be honest here, most of us arrived in the crypto-world for the prospects of financial profit. And it's OK! A moto I sometimes see on steemit is "come for the money, stay for the community". The more you educate yourself, the better investor you will become! I have the guy just for you: Ameer. From the description, this channel is the personal channel of Ameer Rosic, a "serial entrepreneur, marketing expert, investor and a Blockchain evangelist. ". He makes a lot of interesting videos about the markets, new blockchain projects, etc. One that I really liked is:
Why Does Cryptocurrency Price Fluctuate So Much?
This channel has a good balance of short and in-depth videos, I highly recommend you check them out.
Thanks for sharing. Will most definitely have to check them out.
