Well steemit already uses threaded comments. It definitely creates a different kind of community discussion. I do think that the current ChainBB structure is the traditional BB structure, it evens out the value of every one's comments and keeps the discussion moving more than a threaded model, which seems to have more of a time limit to a thread in how it's most often implemented.

I imagine that if chainbb development continues, it will give you different viewing options.

I like the idea of different viewing options, since it seems like the matter of taste and both have their advantages.

I just meant like reddit for example, where there is a theoretical life to a thread, as the front page algorithm is very time based. Chainbb is taking the traditional BB approach where posts that have most recently been posted on jump to the top.

Yeah, this kind of ordering of threads should be kept like in BB forums. Threaded model could just be adopted for comments inside a thread.
