May 30 Days Writing Challenge - Day Two: If You Will Get 1000 STEEM Tomorrow, What Would You Do With It? - Day 2

in #challenge30days6 years ago (edited)

@DragosRoua just made my day with his 30 day May Challenge...It's a challenge that's gonna run throughout the month of may! I just came across it on my feed and i was like oh fudge! The idea of the long term challenge is absolutely brilliant. If I may, I would love to participate in the challenge that I missed yesterday. There was something that really hit me hard, if you'll take a look at today's post here he talked about relating to times of hardship, times when there's so much debt hanging over, I took a look at this man's blog and I saw that there's hope, looking at where he is now, I feel motivated and inspired! I've never been one to sit around doing nothing, heck! I became a graphics designer from nothing, no experience, no tutoring, I saw an ad for a graphics designer, and I said to myself "yeah....I can do it!" I went into the company and told them the same. The M.D saw my level of confidence and he hired me without an interview! I left that day (friday) got me some photoshop and corel CDs and became a G.D over the weekend. I was a bit rusty at first, but i maintained the job and got really good at it for a whole four months before i quit. I was just fresh outta college by the way.
So...what would I do with 1000 steem? Phew! Tough question buh i'd like to speak from my heart. I feel like steemit offers an opportunity unlike none other i've ever seen. I mean, it's a: social network, with rewards, it develops your blogging skills, gives you your own free blog, brings you together with a lot of fun groups, allows showcase your talents, and occupational skills? Damn! I should think I have a lot to gain by being here.
I wrote a post in which I requested for funds in the way of delegated SP to support a project that i'm currently working on for newbies and minnows, It is a large project and requires a lot. 1000 Steem would be an answer to my prayers and I would dedicate 50% to that.
The remaining 50% would be invested (mind you i borrowed this idea of investing from @dragosroua, very smart man).
I also support the view that cryptocurrency is revolutionary, world-changing and the future of money!
There you have it! I just told you what I would do and also how I landed my first job...haha

Thanks for stopping by folks!

That's a really generous thing for you to do and I'm sure that it will greatly help the project you support. If I have 1k Steem, I will power up so I can also upvote more people and give others bigger rewards.

I wish you finish the rest of the 30 days for this challenge. :)

I also want to let you know that I have featured you in today's Minnow Fridays post which is part of the #newbieresteemday project.

Well thank you! @wanderlass It's really amazing how so many people are interested in helping others grow on steemit, it is our dream in the NRD. I will try to participate more, even though i know i may not be in every single day of the challenge, buh i will try to participate as many days as i can. Thanks for all the support!

You're welcome. I think they'll understand if you can't do it everyday. That's what I like in Steemit, we're really more in control on how many times we post. No strict rules really.

Congratulations you have been upvoted and resteemed as part of #newbieresteemday's top 10 posts for the day! We invite you to use our tag to connect with more of our members. To learn more: Come Join Us!!! (Newbie Resteem Initiative)

If I had 1K STEEM, I would spend a lot more time curating and supporting new users. @newbieresteemday was huge in helping me get a head start, and I try to pay it forward, but my 0.03 upvote can only do so much. At the least, it’s moral support, and I know that meant everything to me in solidifying my decision to put in the time and effort to grow on here.

Right on! @malloryblythe a lotta newbies become inactive because there is little in the way of encouragement for them. They join the community all guns blazing and fired up to be a part of it, but they usually get dissapointed in the long run when curation is not as they expect. It is encouraging to see steemians with a big heart such as yours. Keep going and pretty soon you'll be able to share that with the world!

hey there! You have been featured in this week's #MinnowMondays post from the team at @NewbieResteemDay.

Feel free to drop by and check out the post!
