RE: Learning New things to Share...

you reminded me of the time that I was out with Artemis and the kids. One of them got into a snit and was trying to throw a 'quiet' temper.

Artemis and I were the cash together and there was an older lady behind me. I finished my purchase turned to the two kids standing at the door and the defiant look on one of them. I said "outside", the defiant one attempted to stand their ground and got a much firmer "OUT" from me.

The door no sooner closed than the woman sniffed and made a remark about the way some people treat their kids these days. Artemis looked at her and said .. actually they are mine and you should be thankful their aunt is dealing with them outside.

Both Artemis and Ms Sniffypants walked out at the same time. As Artemis approached us waiting on the sidewalk the defiant one turned and apologized to her mother which generated a glare from Sniffypants. Guess she didn't like the outcome.

Sort:

Don't you love people that love to help you parent! LOLL

and Maybe? Sniffypants learned a lesson?

Can but hope. I suspect after getting some comeuppance inside and then walking outside to find not me fighting with the child but her turning and giving her mother a sincere apology probably ticked her off more.

Something apparently had worked between the OUT and her mother appearing.

I only had to get her listen to a comment from me, her time to think about it and she offered the apology on her own.
