From the south side of Chicago in the 1920s, a young trumpet player named Louis Armstrong showed the entire world what jazz music is all about. Almost one hundred years have passed since “Pops” arrived in the Windy City, but Chicago remains home to a vibrant jazz scene, and one of its brightest lights is Joanie Pallatto.
