Environmental enrichment is the process (included in the puppy Bio Sensor program) of manipulating an animal's environment to improve mental and physical activity. Early neurological stimulation and socialization reduces stress and therefore promotes overall health. Enrichment is the positive sum of experiences which have a cumulative effect upon the individual. Enrichment experiences involve exposure to a wide variety of interesting, novel, and exciting experiences with regular opportunities to freely investigate, manipulate, and interact with them. A wee bit of stress early in life can produce amazing beneficial results. Thecnique utilized to enrich an environment generally: food based enrichment, sensory enrichment (sight, smell, touch, hear, taste), novel objects, social enrichment and positive training.
