The gospel of Luke is the gospel that describes in the best way the infancy of the child Jesus. And about this very particular moment in the life of our Lord the evangelist wrote: "And the child grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was on him" Luke 2:40.
The fear of God (constancy, firmness, devotion) and the wisdom were in the holy child, and by these spiritual gifts, Jesus knew the Father, and in this sense, the gospels show Jesus as a person free from error and filled with the holy spirit from his very conception. And this is something logical because the sacred scriptures do not show Jesus Christ as a simple wise man or a philosopher but as the very personification of wisdom; or in other words, Jesus according to the doctrine of the kingdom of God, the dominion or empire of God's perfections, is the "son of man".
And this was what the parents of Jesus, Mary and Joseph, discovered when the child was lost during the Easter celebration in Jerusalem, and was found in the temple teaching to the priests and the doctors of the law the word of God. Mary, the Gospels tell us, was the first devotee of Jesus, and she kept all these things in her heart; the wisdom of Jesus, something unusual in a child of such a young age, was something that caught a lot of attention.
In this way, the gospel tells us how Jesus showed from his earliest childhood a great concern for spiritual matters:
"After three days they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers. When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother said to him, ´Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you.´
´Why were you searching for me?´ he asked. ´Didn't you know I had to be in my Father's house?´ But they did not understand what he was saying to them" Luke 2:46-50.
Jesus was always mindful of the things of God. We his followers should follow suit
