There are plants for the production of robots in many countries. Even the representatives of the Russian Advanced Research Fund announced their intention to launch a project to create combat mechanisms in 2017. Anyway, the leader in the production of robotics is still China. Local companies produce robots not only for their own country, but also for sale to organizations from other parts of the world. According to Reuters, in China there will be another robotic plant in which robots will work side by side with people.

The new plant will be built by the Swiss company ABB, which produces various equipment ranging from electrical equipment to industrial robots. Its location will be the site near the campus of the robotics company in Shanghai, since China is the second most important ABB market after the United States. For the construction of buildings already allocated $ 150 million.

The area of the future plant will be about 7,000 square meters. It will be equipped with special software that will allow industrial robots to work alongside people. YuMi robots will be involved in assembling small parts, one of which in 2017 performed as a conductor in the human symphony orchestra.

Robots will be produced both for use in China and for import to other Asian countries. According to ABB, in 2017, every third produced robot went to China. In total, the country has acquired 138,000 units of robotic mechanisms. High demand is associated with higher labor costs — many companies are trying to automate processes.

Robots perform part of human tasks now. In May 2018, robots couriers of Starship Technologies began driving around the streets of the California city of Mountain View. In June, coffee robots appeared in the cafes of Cafe X in the city of San Francisco.

What will you do if robots take your job? You can write your answer in the comments.
