Ephesians 6:10-18 KJV
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints
Just like soldiers in Armies we as beleivers in Christ also need Armor to protect us, this is a great passage in ephesians if you have just became a beleiver or you are at your end about to go meet our Lord and all situations inbetween. Although unlike soldiers we don't need Guns and bulletproof vests, as our fight is not with other people but against evil and darkness and satans trickery and worldly temptations. Putting on the breastplate of righteousness - Standing up for Gods truth no matter what, being humble, protecting and helping the weak. Keep your feet sturdy and firm in the gospel, always reading, studying and living God's word. Always keep your sheild of faith up front protecting you from all satan WILL throw your way. Never take off your helmet of salvation knowing and always giving thanks that Christ died for our salvation, and always be prepared to take up your sword which is the Word of God knowing it well and using it when and where needed, and just as important never cease praying, it is our direct line to God and has so much power that we can not even fathom..
When you have all your armor on and are ready to go into battle always remember...one of my favourite and i think the first verse i memorized
Romans 8.31

The spiritual war is the reason the world is how it is, with so much pain and suffering, confusion, selfishness and darkness; and so many events in our world (car crashes, etc.) happen because of this raging war. The unsaved have no clue about this war, but if they were alert (Col. 4:2) they would see the signals all around. Instead, they are blindly believing crazy philosophies like cause and effect, or "things happen all by chance" as the cause of things. That's just satanic information from the kingdom of the Devil (the world, 2 Cor. 4:4).
