In NXIVM's Keith Raniere trial testimony. He and Salzman were literally scientifically studying and seeking to identify "Luciferians". It's like an evil "mass awakening" concept or building an army of demonized individuals.

Another corresponding data point that's germane to this theory of amassing an army of demonized individuals [slaves] is that the upper echelons of the Cult thought they were reincarnated or manifesting the demonic spirits/power of prominent Nazi leaders.
