That's a ridiculous prayer, too. "I choose to have an attitude of faith and expectancy." Either your have faith or you don't. Saying you have faith doesn't mean you have faith. Even if you have faith, that doesn't mean that God will cause material blessings to fall from the sky.
Jesus said that God will provide us with what we need. He doesn't promise to give us everything we could ever want or ask for. But that's what people want. It's what their itching ears want to hear.
