This is a really nice verse! It really encourages that good attitude of doing what’s best for everyone including yourself. We are called by God to bring peace and joy into everyone’s life. It’s really painful to watch the way people intentionally hurt each other. You just have to keep in mind that everyday we’re getting one step closer to home.
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
Philippians 4:8
We must promote peace....
And peace is only about the absence of war....
