Jesus is the True Sabbath.

“I gave them my Sabbaths as a sign between us, so they would know that I the Lord made them holy” (Ezekiel 20:12).

"Just because this was in the Old Testament, doesn't mean it's no longer relevant today." Of course, it's still relevant today. IT IS VERY RELEVANT TODAY. It's in the Ten Commandments. It's to be followed. But not in the way religions have taught us...because what makes us holy is not the day, but JESUS.

Yes, it is Jesus who made us righteous before God. Actually, the Scripture in Ezekiel Chapter 20:12 really talks about Him. He himself declared it in Matthew 5:17 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.”

So If Jesus is the fulfillment of the LAW and the prophets, then Jesus must be the true SABBATH.

Another passage of Scripture that will lighten your doubts, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you REST..." Matthew 11:28

According to the Old Testament the Sabbath is the DAY OF REST. In the New Testament Sabbath is the PERSON OF REST.
What’s written in the Old Testament was just a shadow of what is to come. So what’s the point of chasing the shadow of Jesus when you can actually can come and talk to Him in person?

So just in case, you are weary and heavily laden, don’t wait for the Sabbath day to come, Come to Sabbath. Come to Jesus and you'll find true rest.
