Know God for yourself
We are now in a generation where the true gospel of Jesus Christ is scarce. We now have multiplied number of preachers, but every true and spiritual follower of Christ knows that most of these people are either working for their pockets, or they are working for their master, the devil.
They preach what the congregation want to hear. They keep a special seat for the rich. They gather the money contributed by the congregation and use it to enrich themselves, while their followers die in poverty. These are vipers transforming themselves to ministers of light. Don't be ignorant of their deceit.
For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
2 Corinthians chapter 13 to 15 NIV
Beloved, preachers like this are everywhere, so you must know God for yourself and have a personal relationship with him if you want to immune yourself from their clutches.
****How to know God for yourself
Pray for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Study the word of God, independent of what any man has taught you.
Meditate on the word of God daily.
Pray to like God regularly. Make it dialogue. When you pray, listen to him speak to you through the still small voice, a witness in your spirit or a directive to read a particular portion of the Bible.
