Daughters should be allowed to grow up exactly the same as a son. Any push or pull from parents creates stubborn, easier to nurture children by guiding with thought provoking discussion (when old enough)
Birth to Seven the years of implementing right from wrong. Seven to however long it takes to discuss, debate, logically overcome obstacles.
Alas many of your want's will fall by the way of her needs, lessons learned are best by trial and error of the child themselves.
