From John 11:20-21 it is written
Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house. Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
We all know the story, Lazarus had been sick and his sisters sent word to Jesus letting him know that 'the one He loves so well was sick.' Jesus didn't get there when they expected. Lazarus died from this unknown sickness. Jesus, through the Word of Knowledge knew that Lazarus was asleep and went back to Bethany.
As the Lord entered the city, Martha hearing that the Lord was coming, ran to meet Him. As soon as she got to Him, she said to the Master, paraphrased by me 'if only you got here on time, you could have probably healed my brother from the sickness.
Now he is dead, there is nothing no one can do now.' Has it been said to you? People say such things 'if only you were younger, you probably could have don't it. But now it's too late'; 'if only you had your job, you could have finished your project, but now it's too late'; 'if only he had his legs, he could have been a great athlete, but now without It, it's impossible'; 'if only you got there on time it would have been possible, but now, it's too late'. Has anyone ever said to you, it is too late?
Thankfully, we know the end of the story, Jesus brought Lazarus from the dead! From the regions far above the reach of any human instrumentality, Jesus brought back Lazarus from the dead; yes, from the dead! it is never too late for you! As long as we are concious of the Word and of the Spirit, nothing could be impossible or too late for you!
What should be your concern is being able to consistently minding the things of Christ as the spirit of God leads you.
Seeking the kingdom of God the door way to the leadership of the spirit, and when the spirit takes over of your life, nothing becomes too late for you.
The story is not really about Lazarus who was raised, but Jesus who didn’t panic at his friends sickness up to him dying, Jesus was rather minding the things of the kingdom when he got the news, and being led by the spirit, he was not harassed by the situation until he was also directed to go and reverse death.
Let the same mind that is in Christ Jesus be in us.
