Every good and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. James 1:17
People normally assess the quality of a particular product by where it is produced. Artifacts produced in countries like USA and Germany are thought to be of good quality whereas products made in China are largely considered as not so long lasting.
Similarly, we can also consider every product released by heaven to be of satisfactory quality. Our opening verse describes them as 'good and perfect with no shadow of turning' and this is the confident expectation we ought to have.
Nevertheless, if we would appreciate this perfection we have to begin to model our standards after the standards of God and not let the world dictate to us what is good or not. Romans 12:2 states, 'and do not be conformed to the standards of this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind that, ye may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.' For example, God never said a husband should be overly affluent and extremely handsome. But the Bible does admonish husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church. Ephesians 5:25. This should be our standard in determining quality. Then we would be able to appreciate the perfection in every gift God grants unto us.
