LIVING THE LIFE

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11

Many at times, the people of the world laugh at us Christians; saying we don't know how to enjoy life. They assume that because we spend most of our time in church whilst they spend theirs at parties and night clubs they are 'living the life.' To them 'living the life' has to do with the level of happiness and pleasure you derive from it.
Strangely enough, our opening verse agrees with this definition However, it redefines where to find this pleasure; not in the world but in the presence of God. So the question is, whose account would you believe; the claims of the world or the truths of the Bible? This question is very important. When you believe the account of the world, you end up focussing on their activities; wondering how it would be like to be a part of them. This very distraction robs you of the experience you could have in the presence of God. But if you engage not just your body but you mind and soul whenever you are in the presence of God, you'll be able to savour his sweet presence and testify just like David that truly, in the presence of God, there is fullness of joy.

LIFE APPLICATION
Don't ever regret missing out on the activities of the world. You are not missing a thing.

PRAYER
Thank you Father for showing me the path of life. May I always dwell in your house all the days of my life.

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 1John 2:15
