RESPECTING THE ANOINTING

Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:
3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.
Matthew 23:2-3

It is true that in these last days, there are a lot of servants of God who do not practise what they teach and even sometimes do the contrary.
However, God gives an anointing to every office he appoints people to occupy. This anointing is for ministry and is independent of the state of the occupant with God. So in the Bible, even though Saul was rejected by God 1 Samuel 15:23 and even oppressed by an evil spirit 1 Samuel 16:14, David still recognized God's anointing in him and called him the Lord's anointed 1 Samuel 24:6. In this morning's verse also, Jesus said that even though the Pharisees are hypocrites and non compliant to their own teachings, the people should do whatever they teach because they are sitting on Moses's seat which represents a place of authority and anointing.
The two lessons to learn from this is firstly, do not miss out on the blessings of God in a ministration because you know the ministers ungodly secret life. Secondly, if you are a minister, do not measure your stance with God by the anointing you minister; always make sure you are in fellowship with Him.

LIFE APPLICATION
Do not let a man of God's negative traits and habits prevent you from receiving the blessings God is giving to you through him.

PRAYER
