"Press In with your FAITH..." - Daily Word #91

It's Day 3 of the 3 Stories of Healing... and today we share on two mini-stories from the book of Luke 8.

Here we dive in and catch this story at Luke 8:41-50 (NLT)

Then a man named Jairus, a leader of the local synagogue, came and fell at Jesus’ feet, pleading with him to come home with him. His only daughter, who was about twelve years old, was dying. As Jesus went with him, he was surrounded by the crowds. Source

A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding, and she could find no cure. Coming up behind Jesus, she touched the fringe of his robe. Immediately, the bleeding stopped. “Who touched me?” Jesus asked. “Someone deliberately touched me, for I felt healing power go out from me.” Source

One man had the pleasure of 12 years with his daughter, whilst another had 12 years of heartache and pain going through her sickness. Both of them had arrived at the same point in life... and needed the Touch of the Master. This was their GOD Moment - where life would never be the same again!!!

When the woman realized that she could not stay hidden, she began to tremble and fell to her knees in front of him. The whole crowd heard her explain why she had touched him and that she had been immediately healed. “Daughter,” he said to her, “your FAITH has made you well. Go in peace.” Source

While he was still speaking to her, a messenger arrived from the home of Jairus, the leader of the synagogue. He told him, “Your daughter is dead. There’s no use troubling the Teacher now.” But when Jesus heard what had happened, he said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid. Just have FAITH, and she will be healed.” Source

There are so Gems in the Passage of Scripture above. Here are just 5 Insights;

1- Without Desperation, there is no need for God in our life
Humans are typically wired that way. If there is no need, we will not have the motivation to do something. And therefore, sometimes we have to come to the end of ourselves, to find the place where we will allow the Lord to COME IN.

2- There will be Crowds around us that will Push Us
Do you bother about the people around you, your environment, what others say, what others think, the multitudes that may or may not support you? In life we will all face that, and will get pushed around by the waves of people, opinions and expectations. Will you give in or Press In to get your Outcome.

3- We need to stand up and own up to our Needs
Being Bold to Press In in one thing. Being Bolder to stand up and own up to what we believe is another thing altogether. Will you stand up to Speak Out for the Amazing Works, that the Lord has "already" done or begun in your life?

4- God will Address your Healing Beyond your Needs
Jesus called the Woman "DAUGHTER", this was probably the first time she has felt that sort of Acceptance in many many years!! From an outcast, an Unclean Woman to a person that has been Restored by God... Physically, Mentally, Emotionally and Spiritually!

5- Have FAITH, go in Peace...all will be Well!!
God is truly amazing as He often reassures us and acknowledges us UP to continue growing in our FAITH. Because when we can do that, we move our focus from the Natural into the Supernatural, from Self to GOD!!

This is His Truth. When you and I can Press In with our FAITH, He shows up and gives us our heart's desires and SO MUCH MORE.

What are you waiting upon the Lord for.... ?
RUN to Him today.

Blessings & Shalom.
