Salvation, the golden ticket?

Salvation belongs to God. Salvation is attained through grace by faith. A human does not will another human into salvation. A human's faith cannot be quantified. God's grace cannot be quantified. God's grace is not a tool used by humans to save others from damnation. God's grace is our gift. God's grace offers us love, both in life and practice. One cannot love another without having first been loved. Therefore, salvation is an opportunity to love and be loved. Salvation is not meant to divide the christian from the non-christian. Salvation is not meant to be used for pride or self-righteousness. Your salvation does not make you holy. It is God that has chosen you. It is God that loves you. It is God that has allowed you to see. To see yourself. To see others. To understand true love, empathy, and compassion. It is God that gives you the perspective necessary to reflect holiness into the world. One could think or learn for eternity and get nowhere without the Holy Spirits touch in their life.

His Son is the example necessary to live. Focus must be placed on Jesus. Perspective must be maintained using Jesus' example. What did Jesus do? He loved. He discipled. He taught. He empathized. He dismissed/corrected. He was our sacrificial lamb. He came so that we would know how to serve Him. He came so that we could understand love.

Jesus did not come to earth so that we could go to heaven. He came so that we could love wholly. So that we could love truly. So that we could be a bright light for others in our lives.

Salvation should not be a ticket to heaven for the "un-saved." Salvation is a ticket to love, purpose, and belonging.
