He Knows

...the Bible tells us that Christ understands our lives since He endured every human experience we do (Hebrews 4:15).

When you think no one understands, turn to Jesus in prayer (Hebrews 4:16). Not only will He hear, He will understand.

Christ understands loneliness; He’s been through it.

Despised, rejected, tormented, lonely, abandoned, forsaken (His final moments), penniless, powerless, uncertain, misunderstood, disengaged perhaps. I forget daily that Christ understands.

When I get into a rut, even in my very good first world middle-class experience, it is too easy to put out of my mind the sufferings and torture and crucifixion of Christ. How can one be so selfish?! Easily. Much more easily than you think ... in a fallen world.

I am convicted. Christ has gone before me. He already is fighting my battles.
