It was a hot summer morning already and as a christian we are oblige to go to church to give thanks to the blessings that we have received. Aside from that it is one way for us to asked forgiveness on the sins that we have committed. It is one of strengthening our spiritual soul that that we are ready for the coming of the Christ as being delivered from the Bible.
We always go to Our Lady of Sacred Heart Parish Church, Marigondon, Lapu-lapu City since it is the nearest area where i reside. Aside from that the church surroundings are spacious and inside the church has proper ventilation where church goers are comfortable even the hottest state that we are experiencing today. Inside there is a gigantic size of ceiling far that adds up the cooling system inside the church.
The parish priest here has really dedicated a lot on the improvement of the church and the community. He is really active and we have all admired his passion on improving the church interior and exterior parts. But sad to say that the parish priest Father Sam will transferred to another parish church and it would be around three weeks more if i'm not mistaken. As supporter on our parish church and the church itself we make sure that we wouldn't missed a Sunday on attending mass.
Inside and outside the church we can also buy beautiful flowers in a cheap price compare to other flower vendors outside the church area. And at the same time you can ask for a discount if you would purchase two or more. This is why i prefer to buy flowers here rather than in public markets since they make sure that the flowers that they are selling are always fresh.
We can see many cars parked inside the church. This is a proof how spacious inside that it can support nearly 60 cars in the parking area. Around the parking area there are many trees that could help protect the parking cars from the tremendous heat of the sun.
Sometimes i do light candles and pray there also on the blessings that we have received. The candles cost only one piso each, which is really affordable.
There is a beautiful image of Mama Mary and baby Jesus in the grotto near the candle section. Many people here put some flowers as a thanksgiving of every blessings that they received in their life.
At the front of the church we can see a statue of the founder of Sacred Heart.!
To those who want to go to this church you can easily locate it through Google Map since it is one of the landmarks of Marigondon Lapu-lapu. I have also take a photo shot of the mass schedule so others will be informed.
