This is an evaluation we must have as a person since the most difficult process for a human being is forgiveness, the forgiving heart will always find a way out to redeem itself before God and men, but the inflexible ones will never be saved.
When we cultivate a resentment against someone, we are allowing the seed of evil to sprout within us. The more we leave it, the harder it is to pluck it, and there is no use trying to forget it, or even covering it with works of charity, because sooner or later it will make its leaves appear and, consequently, its harmful fruits. That is one of the fundamental reasons why we affirm that forgiveness is much more than a simple virtue, it is a necessity.
