Abasi Idaiyake simply means "God is not sleeping", is a movie acted by Akwa Ibom State Indigenes. I believe this movie is up to six years now since it's production, if not even more than. One of its advert was pasted on my street and anytime I pass by, and look at the advert, it always gives me different interpretations. If I carry any so-called heavy challenge that is disturbing my solace much, once I get in eye contact with that advert, the interpretation it will give me is always inline with my challenges and in the other hand encourage me. The contents of Abasi Idaiyake is a bit inline with one of my unpublished play "consequences of greediness" of which one of the two plays can be use to explains another briefly as applicable to the life of the Christians and/or a true believer.
Consequences of greediness as applicable in the lives of Christians tried to show to those Christians who called themselves so, but they are so greedy to worldly and material things. Those that have forgotten about "seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you" Matt.6: 33.
Those Christians that are so desperate to material things without considering if such things pleases God. (You are hereby advised to get a copy of this play when it is published, you will learn a lot).
Some Christians are greedy to the extents that seem God is sleeping. Some people take their problems as if good is sleeping, brother and sister with problems, is that your problem bigger than the storm that Jesus spoken only words to, and it's obeyed His voice? Can you recall that Jesus was still on the boat and pretended to be sleeping? But when the challenge came to those that believed in Him, they called Him, and He responded to their calls and delivered them from destruction. Christains nowadays believe too much on "that is how it normally be" can't you exercise a little Faith that your own case can be much different? Matt 21:21-27 "...if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also, if you say to this mountain, be removed and be cast into sea, it will be done, 22, and all things, whatever you ask in prayers believing, you will receive. Matt. 7:7-8 "ask, and it will be given to you, seek, and you will find, knock, and it will be opened to you, for everyone who asks received, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened".
Now, if you didn't read my post two days ago on WINNING MENTALITY, please try and do so. There, you will discover that a man is a product of his thoughts.
Think on heavenly things, believe that your saviour liveth. In case you didn't know before, know it now that when God is yours, everything belongs to you. Do not continue in greedy life especially to those things that are not beneficial, things that are weakening your spirit, things that will separate you from the love of God. Romans 8:35-39 "who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? ..."
God is calling you through this medium today, to bring those challenges that want to victimized you, that He is more than able to solve it for you. Matt. 11:28 "come to me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" do not allow your past life to deprive you from this grace. 2Corinthians5:17 "therefore, if a man is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, BEHOLD, all things have become new". HALLELUJAH!!!
God did not condemned you, so you likewise, do not condemn yourself. Rather, go to Him with that heavy laden and find rest in Him, because, GOD IS NOT SLEEPING.
