#tecrs The Edgar Cayce Readings Say: The Original Christianity Was...

From the Edgar Cayce reading 5749-14:

(Q) Is Gnosticism the closest type of Christianity to that which is given through this source? (A) This is a parallel, and was the commonly accepted one until there began to be set rules in which there were the attempts to take short cuts. And there are none in Christianity!

(Q) What action of the early church, or council, can be mentioned as that which ruled reincarnation from Christian theology? (A) Just as indicated - the attempts of individuals to accept or take advantage of, because of this knowledge, see?

These short cuts, to which the source refers, was the transferal of our birthright to spiritual growth through direct connection to the Divine, over to the hierarchical establishment of the church.

This is the source of the cognitive dissonance found within many Christians today, who are inspired by the high ideals of the Fruits of the Spirit, yet repulsed by the hypocrisy of the institutional gatekeepers to Heaven.

The essence of reincarnation is the personal responsibility each of us has with one another. If we don't get our relationships right in this lifetime, then we will inevitably have to come back again and again until we overcome our karma with each other through the grace of forgiveness.
