Tip # 9 for a better Christian

in #christianity4 years ago

Practice forgiveness towards others and yourself.

Hello Steemians, blessed day, I greet you @genesis2000. I just want to remind you that each blog is a challenge for you and me, even if it does not seem like it; because the purpose of this is that we can learn together and improve each day.

  • This is one of the most difficult tasks for many of us. We read the scriptures, we go to church, we try to live as He would, but in the end we continue to play the blame, even if that means throwing it to ourselves.

  • To be closer to God, make a conscious effort to forgive yourself and others. We all try to do the best we can!

  • Instead of reacting with anger or malice, offer the other cheek. When someone bothers you, show him that you live in the light of Christ and that you are on the best path. Forgive them for their sins as Christ would. Who knows? Maybe your actions inspire them.
  • The next time you're blaming yourself and criticizing yourself for something minimal, remember how perfect you are for Him. He wouldn't like you to treat yourself like that! On the contrary, focus on acting in a better way next time. Focus on the future and not in the past.

  • Ephesians 4:32 says: "Before you be kind to one another, merciful, forgiving one another, as God also forgave you in Christ." When you are tempted to do the opposite, think about this simple but beautiful feeling.

¡GREETINGS TO ALL AND MANY BLESSINGS!

Forgiveness has been translated into 'tolerance' so that we allow evil to take over. The term used for it is 'PC'.

I use a simple rule for choosing what to forgive:

If you do something to hurt me and I suspect it was done by accident and because of thoughtlessness, I'll forgive.

If the harm is to others I love or to our community, then I do not.

Congratulations @genesis2000! You received a personal award!
